At a Glance:

This is an opportunity to make a significant contribution in a rapidly growing business in the car rental solutions market. This is an HR specialist role that will have overall responsibility for the local HR delivery and be part of a wider international HR function. Be the HR Business Partner to all managers, developing and delivery the outputs aligned to the operational HR agenda. Work in collaboration with other functional business areas as required.


Main responsibilities:

·         Overall responsibility for all recruitment activities from intermediate to management level. This includes the following:

·         Creating job descriptions for all levels in cooperation with the responsible line manager

·         Publication of vacancies on various sources (such as internal & external job boards)

·         Manage the relationship with external recruitment agencies as required

·         Support with the initial screening of direct applications

·         Direct search and active sourcing through social networks (mainly XING & LinkedIn) and business related networking events to identify the right candidates and approach them directly

·         Conducting telephone and first stage interviews. Assist with scheduling and further participation in interviews if needed

·          Create candidates reports for recruiting manager


·         First point of contact for all HR queries for employees & managers of Carnect and central HR team of Hotelbeds Group:

·         Provide sound HR best practise advice to all stakeholders in line with local employment law

·         Interact as the local HR Business Partner to all departmental heads within Carnect to develop their teams further

·         Work in collaboration with other functional business areas of Hotelbeds Group as required

·         Delivery HR workshops (such as performance management workshops, etc.) and assist managers with the on boarding process for new employees within their teams. Collaborate punctually with HR development projects as initiatives for employee training and retention, to foster team-working as well as conduct employee’s follow-up


·         HR administrative work & group wide policies:

·         Manage and maintain the data in all HR systems as key user and administrator to ensure they are up to date and accurate

·          Support all managers to ensure clear communication flow of employee changes are highlighted to HR so the system can reflect a true account of employee status. In addition, ensure that data in internal HR tools is accurate whilst also ensuring service levels and stakeholder satisfaction is maintained

·         Be the point of contact for all employees and managers seeking assistance in how to use internal HR tools and report any system errors to the technical support team as required

·         Be responsible for managing, coordinating and ensuring full compliance of COSO HR controls for all entities within Carnect and report results on a monthly basis to Finance Manager

·         Drive HR data quality and implement standards within Carnect as dictated by Group. Prepare and submit HR reports and analytics as needed on a regular basis


·         Implementation and consolidation of Group/Sector & Divisional HR processes and policies such as talent identification and development, performance management and annual reward cycle

How to Apply

Candidate profile:

·      HR Professional with at least 3 years’ experience in position of HR Advisor or a comparable role

·      The successful candidate should ideally have a university degree with emphasis in the field of HR

·      A full proficiency level in English & German language is a must (written and verbal), further European language skills are a benefit

·      Strong commercial business acumen, quick to understand business requirements and translate into workable and appropriate HR solutions, aligned to business objectives, as well as wider (Group / corporate) HR strategies

·      Experienced and comfortable shifting between future focus and being “hands-on”, operating with a high degree of autonomy, acting decisively and challenging senior leaders and managers

·      Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills, able to engage, inspire and influence others, as well as establish credibility quickly and accepted and trusted by senior leaders

·      Customer obsessed and results orientated, quick-thinking and pro-active, with drive and energy to act in a fast-paced environment

·      Good networker and builds and maintains strong relationships across all levels, including employees as well as managers, and cultural boundaries based on honesty, integrity and transparency

·      Innovative and creative mind-set, able to generate new ideas and challenge the status quo

·      Excellent organisation, planning, analytical skills

·      Proficient in MS Office and should also have a working knowledge of the general business IT and HR applications such as SAP or similar systems
