About the Role
Reports To
Chief Technology Officer or Vice President of Engineering
Location
Berlin-Mitte, Germany. Centrally located right at Hackescher Markt, with direct access to public transport. Our bright and spacious office has wooden floor, a fireplace, a balcony and a large funky kitchen. Plus we provide free fruit, muesli, coffee, and water (and beer. On Fridays ;-p).

About You
Wanted!
A developer who got interested in deployment and networking operations. Or a sysadmin who has a passion for scripting and coding and moved into the development side where you could improve planning of test and development. Either way, you have pushed beyond your defined areas of competence and have a more holistic view of your technical environment.
Experience & Skills
- 5+ years experience in related positions
- Interested in the latest mobile and web technologies and trends
- Solid understanding and experience of agile methodology
- You have the ability to use wide variety of open source technologies and tools
- Coding or scripting
- Comfort with with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment
- Process re-engineering
- Comfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders
- A strong focus on business outcomes
- Linux
- AWS/Azure/Google Cloud
- Databases (PostgreSQL)
- Chef/Puppet/Ansible
- Docker
- Good English language skills required (company language is English)

- Sociable – you’re happy to do work in a team and take shared ownership of code.

Education & Qualifications
University degree preferred or equivalent experience.
