Your Position

This is an acquisition sales (hunter) role. The role is in place to deliver our business target from allocated market sectors in mainland Europe. The role is predominantly office based, and involves traditional SDR work (appointment setting) while also owning the full sales cycle on SMB or smaller deals. Additionally, the role requires progressing inbound enquiries to conclusion and developing outbound calls/contacts to prospects, leads and opportunities as advised by your Senior New Business Development Manager – you’ll be paired with a senior Sales person to work with.
What you’ll do (Objectives)

  1. To meet revenue targets through acquiring new SMB customers
  2. To meet research, introduction and appointment setting targets
  3. To meet profitability targets per deal
  4. To meet sector and product mix targets
  5. Self-generate leads and prospect for your own and Senior BDM opportunities

How you’ll deliver it (Strategies)

  • These will be determined by you, in collaboration with your manager, and you’ll update them regularly to keep your contribution relevant as we evolve. You’ll do this via your Personal VOS.
  1. Manage the full acquisition sales cycle

Prospecting:

  1. Research prospects within allocated sectors to create a prospect pipeline
  2. Manage prospecting process using appropriate sales tools (eTail Insights, Linkedin Premium, referrals, personal networks, etc)
  3. Make appropriate outbound contact (phone/email/social) to move prospect to lead and closure (own deals) and to appointment stage (for Senior BDM)

Lead Management:

  1. Manage allocated leads from marketing, events, inbound and self-generated, make appropriate outbound contact (phone/email/social) to move lead to opportunity
  2. Manage prospect pipeline, move leads to opportunities through appropriate contact (phone; email, social, demos, web-e, etc)

Opportunity Pipeline Management:

  1. Pro-actively manage all opportunities within pipeline. Establish working routines to support the time and territory management of the different tasks associated with this
  2. Drive opportunities through the pipeline stages to “sold” by using appropriate sales process and plays (phone, email, social, demos, web-ex etc). Handle objections, offer additional/alternative solutions
  3. Build and develop customer relationships and maintain communication throughout the sales cycle
  4. Identify any revenue shortfalls and ensure these gaps are filled through pro-active activity
  5. Gain feedback throughout the sales cycle and share with wider team, marketing and research as appropriate to ensure continuous improvement to the process
  6. Cross sell additional products through the process

2. System

  1. Update Salesforce records fully, using appropriate guidelines, processes and policies to evidence activity carried out
  2. Collect competitor and market information, updating Salesforce correctly to enable reporting
  3. Produce and utilise Salesforce reports to manage own performance against key targets and metrics

3. Other

  1. May be required to attend shows/expos to generate new business leads (international). Leads generated will be allocated across the team post show

Your Required Profile

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • KNOWLEDGE (Education and qualifications)
  • Computer literate – Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and advanced Excel
  • Salesforce user would be advantageous

SKILLS

  • Technical background would be advantageous
  • Excellent cold calling technique
  • Experience of working in a fast paced customer focused environment
  • Excellent understanding of managing a sales pipeline, including ability to self-create and close from cold – pipeline management and time management skills
  • Excellent oral, written communication and negotiation skills

EXPERIENCE

  • of sales and lead development targets
  • of software legal contracts
  • of SaaS software and commercial pricing models highly advantageous
  • of address management software highly advantageous
